Career Overview

    LaTasha Gary is the director of World Wide Sales and Service Sales Operation Systems for the Compaq Computer Company. She works on various domestic and overseas projects, managing teams through updating and selling programs. Ms. Gary earned Masters in Computer Science from Howard University and her Bachelors in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. Her previous jobs include Director of WW Sales and Services, Senior Manager for eCommerce, and program/development manager for HP.

    In 2002, Ms. Gary was named as one of the “Top Houston Women in Technology” by the Association of Women in Computing and one of the “Women of Color in Technology All Stars” by Career Communications Group in 2004. Outside of the workplace, LaTasha is an active member of ITSMF, a national organization focused on developing and filling the pipeline with African-American IT professionals. She also participates in organizations such as the Association of Women in Computing, Howard University Alumni Chapter, National Society of Black Engineers, Texas A&M University Association of Former Students, and Texas A&M University Black Former Students.
