Lani Hay is the CEO and founder of Lanmark Technology, Inc., a company that deals with technological service information. She graduated from The United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Science. Later, she went on to earn her Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business and a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. Ms. Hay’s service as an Air Intelligence Officer gave her the leadership skills that provided her with the foundation to construct a reliable consulting company. She was rewarded for her hard work and company leadership in 2003 with the “Outstanding Small Business Awardâ€, a number two ranking position in “Technology’s Top 50 Rising Starâ€, and her company LMT was listed as the thirteenth fastest growing technology company in the “Technology Fast 500â€.
In 2007 she participated in the Enterprising Woman "Strategies for Building a Fast Growth Company" Panel Discussion, was named by Business Women’s Network “Woman to Watchâ€, Office Depot’s “Business Woman of the Yearâ€, and the Small Business Association’s “National Minority Small Business Person of the Year†along with other honorable mentions. As co-founder of the Hay-Smith Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to support the education and empowerment of undeserved individuals in the United States and abroad, she has been able to give back to the community. Ms. Hay’s desire to achieve and help others stems from her guiding principle to “honor diversity†and to “bring about social change with integrity and graceâ€.
