Lance Gross graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He turned down a chance to become a professional track and field athlete to pursue his dream of acting. After Howard, Gross trained at The Ivana Chubbuck Studio as well as the Tasha Smith Acting Studio. Gross currently plays Calvin Payne on the TBS sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Calvin is a 25-year-old freeloader still living with his parents. He also plays Angela Bassett’s son in the movie Meet the Browns and has appeared on The Bernie Mac Show and Eve. Gross has also worked in music videos with artists such as Rihanna, Kelis, Mariah Carey, and most recently Mary J. Blige. He recently got engaged to America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille.
