Career Overview
Krysten Ritter is an American actress and former model. Ritter grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and was scouted by a modeling agent in high school. After graduation, she moved to New York City to establish herself as an international model. Her first experience acting was for TV commercials, and she decided to pursue film acting as a career. Her first real role was as an art history student in Julia Roberts’ Mona Lisa Smile. She has been cast in a number of romantic comedies, including What Happens in Vegas and Confessions of a Shopaholic. She also acted in Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, Woke Up Dead and Breaking Bad.
Ritter's upcoming movie, She's Out of My League, follows Kirk (Jay Baruchel, “Knocked Up,†“Tropic Thunderâ€), an average Joe, who can’t believe his luck. Though he is stuck in a seemingly dead-end job as an airport security agent, against all odds, Molly (Alice Eve), a successful and gorgeous babe, falls for him. Kirk is stunned. So are his friends, his family and even his ex-girlfriend. Now he has to figure out how to make the relationship work, even though he’d be the first to admit she’s totally out of his league.
