Career Overview
Kevin Heffernan is an American actor, writer, producer, and director, and member of the Broken Lizard comedy group. He is best known for his role of Vermont State Trooper Rod Farva in Super Troopers, and for his roles in Beerfest, and in the Dukes of Hazzard movie.
Broken Lizard formed at Colgate University as a student sketch comedy group. Following graduation, they relocated to NYC and launched their filmmaking careers with the award-winning feature Puddle Cruiser. Shot in 1996, Puddle Cruiser became an official selection at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. They followed up with the independently-financed, cult-favorite Super Troopers which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. In 2005, they also co-wrote and acted in the Warner Bros remake of The Dukes of Hazard.
Heffernan is currently promoting his directorial debut, Slammin’ Salmon. In the movie, the brutal former heavyweight boxing champion Cleon "Slammin'" Salmon (Duncan), now owner of a Miami restaurant, institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night: the winner stands to gain $10,000, while the loser will endure a beating at the hands of the champ.
