
Career Highlights
Kenji Jasper, graduate of Morehouse College, is an accomplished writer, who at the modest age of 32 has over 18-years of experience in writing and journalism. At the age of 13, he published his first article for The Washington Informer, and by the age of 14 he became one of the founding cast members of Black Entertainment Television’s Teen Summit. While attending Morehouse College, Jasper interned for a local newspaper, before building his career as a freelance journalist upon graduation.
Kenji Jasper’s work has been published in many popular newspapers, magazines, and other publications. He has written three novels including Dark, Dakota Grand and his latest autobiographical piece Seeking Salamanca Mitchell. Recently, he has worked with writer/director Ytasha Womack, co-editing Beats, Rhymes and Life, a collection of writings on hip hop culture. Jasper is now the CEO and Editor of The Armory, a publishing partnership with Akaschic Book, which published its first, release Got, in February 2007.
