• Andrea Nix Fine and her husband created the award winning production company Fine Films
• Together they have independently written and produced documentaries for Frontline, National Geographic and The Discovery Channel.
• War/Dance is their first feature documentary together.
• War/Dance tells the story of three children from the Acholi tribe who are living in a refugee camp in their own land. The film tells their stories of disparity, courage and survival all the while illustrating their memories and capturing their drive and wishfulness for a better future.

Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine are the creators of the award winning production company Fine Films. Based in Washington, DC, Sean and Andrea created their company in 2003, the same year they were married. Their goal is to bring unknown human stories to the screen as they produce, direct, shoot and edit documentaries for television and film. Their most recent documentary feature, War Dance, was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The Fines are now in the process of developing new documentary ideas such as the impact of the story of a boy who escapes child slavery in India and the life of the United States’ most prolific drug dealer.

Andrea joined ThinkTalk Host Zack Sherwood to discuss her role, along with her husband Sean Fine, in the Academy Award winning documentary War Dance. Andrea gave advice on coordinating large projects over a distance of thousands of miles, the challenges of co-directing and what it means to be a women in the film industry.
