The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards this morning from the Beverly Hilton. Slumdog Millionaire is on the list for BEST MOTION PICTURE DRAMA. Danny Boyle is nominated for BEST DIRECTOR – MOTION PICTURE and the screenwriter for Slumdog Millionaire, Simon Beaufoy, is also casted into the lot for BEST SCREENPLAY – MOTION PICTURE.

We send our best British “Cheers!” to director Mike Leigh for his film Happy-Go-Lucky for BEST MOTION PICTURE – COMEDY OR MUSICAL and his lead actress Sally Hawkins (Pictured) for BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – COMEDY OR MUSICAL role as Poppy Cross.
