Company Christmas Dinner

Last Friday was our company Christmas dinner. Held at Blue Duck Tavern in the West End neighborhood, we headed over to the restaurant after work. As a treat, our boss treated us by having our make up professionally done for dinner. Weeee! Nothing like a professional makeover to start the night off!

But to more important matters: the dinner. The ambiance was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable. Immediately upon seating, servers flanked our sides and poured us each a flute of bubbly. Quite possibly one of the classiest dinners I've ever been to. I could get used to this...

I started off with the Oven Roasted Bone Marrow and Spice Pumpkin Butter.
I spread the marrow on the bread, & it tasted just. like. butter. Mmmm.

My main course: Jumbo lump crabcakes with frisee, fennel & sweet mustard dressing

Accompanied my crabcakes with the Potato Puree with Soft Garlic. Wish
I took a photo of the other sides the table shared, to include the Young
Carrots in Maple Glaze, the Charred Onions, or the Triple Cut Fries...

Made room for dessert with homemade ice cream: Chocolate Cinnamon,
Peanut Butter, and Honey Vanilla (with bits of honey exploding in each taste)

I love the holidays! Do you have any fun dinner parties to attend?

Sincerely,
Brigette
